Comparative Commercial Law

Comparative Commercial Law is a voluntary course conducted in English .

The aim of this course is to examine one or more areas of commercial law from a comparative perspective. It is expected that areas which would be suitable for comparative analysis would include the corporate laws of a number of different countries, the insolvency law of different countries as well as the contract laws of different countries.

The objective of this course is for students to acquire a sound knowledge of the foundation concepts of, and principal debates in, comparative law, that students can recognise comparative law issues when they arise in commercial law and are able to analyse those issues using the conceptual tools of comparative law.
