The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana is its self-governing representative body. It has 12 members, one third of whom are students. The Academic Senate, in particular, approves the internal regulations of the faculty at the proposal of the dean and discusses the proposal of the dean for the appointment and dismissal of vice-deans and members of the faculty's scientific council. It elects a candidate for dean, or proposes the dismissal of the dean from office, and approves the proposal of the rector for the dismissal of the dean.
