Profile

Department provides teaching of subjects directly belonging, as well as closely associated with the Department of Roman law (Legal Roman Studies, Reading of Roman Texts, Legal Latin) History of State and Law (in Slovakia, and World History), Canon Law and Law of Confessions. Its task and goal is to provide basic information about the state and law in their historical context and thus help to reach awareness of the historical development of science of state and law for the present. In addition, the Department provides also methodological courses focused on preparation, quality elaboration, and successful defence of the Bachelor and Master theses in the field of law.
